The brick pier under this house has really lost it. It had to be removed, new footings prepared and replaced to restore adequate support for the rooms above.

The masonry walls had to be sealed on the outside to reduce the high amount of moisture that was evident and help reduce condensation in the rooms above.

Fortunately the purchaser obtained an Independent Property Inspection at $300.00.

Repairs to the pier and sealing of the external wall against moisture was not expensive, however it still represented a considerable saving for the purchaser.
