During a typical Pre-Purchase inspection for MR & Mrs LP of Hobart, The inspector noticed the bedroom doors were binding, the hall floor had subsided and significant plaster board fractures over the doorways, the plaster ceiling was also cracked and subsided. With further investigations of the under floor space, directly under this effected area, excavations had been carried out undermining one of the main supporting piers that also supported the roof structure.

The supporting pier had subsided up to 50mm (two inches in the old language).
Mr & Mrs LP were able to negotiate the $3,800 repair cost back off there original offer.
